January 26 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) carried a record 401,000 tonnes of cargo during 2014 - a 17.6 percent year-on-year improvement over 2013.
The Russian carrier also achieved a load factor of 72.6 percent, well above the industry average.
In order to meet increased demand for its capacity and services from international customers, ABC made further investment to upgrade its freighter fleet in 2014. A new generation Boeing 747-8 freighter joined the ABC fleet, which now comprises of 13 B747 freighters, including six of the new generation -8Fs.
According to the company, its main strategy in 2014 was to be able to respond quickly to market changes, while maintaining operational excellence for its customers, in particular through investing in improved processes at its main Moscow hub.
