Hammond steps up at UKMPG

The UK Major Ports Group (UKMPG) has appointed Charles Hammond, chief executive of Forth Ports, as chair of its board.

Hammond will take over the role from Associated British Ports' (ABP) James Cooper.

Jerry Hopkinson, chief operating officer of PD Ports, will take over the vice chair responsibilities of Roy Adair of Belfast Harbour.

UKMPG has also appointed an additional vice chair - David Brown, chief executive officer of The Bristol Port Company. His vice chair role will focus on safety, health and skills.
