March 28 - Loss adjustor Braemar has made a number of additions to its worldwide team of marine surveyors and consultants, as well as opening two new locations.

John Walker joins Braemar's New York office as chief surveyor, P&I and legal services manager for the Americas.

Luca Bruga, a naval architect, also joins the New York branch as a staff surveyor. Bruga most recently worked at the American P&I Club within its loss prevention department.

Three further staff surveyors have been appointed to the Braemar worldwide team. Christian Vammen joins the Dubai branch. Paul Saunders, a marine engineer, joins the London team. Freddie Lighthelm, a master mariner, has been added to the Capetown, South Africa staff.

Braemar has opened a new office in Seattle to support its Canada, Alaska and US westcoast operations. Jonathan Wanliss has been appointed principal surveyor at the branch.

A new office also has been opened in Manila, the Philippines. Marx Quebral will transfer from the Braemar Singapore office to head up the Philippine office in the role of principal surveyor.
