BWS wins wind contract

Blue Water Shipping (BWS) has been awarded the logistics contract for the Stockyard Hill wind farm in Victoria, Australia.

The contract includes the port handling for 149 wind turbines in China and Australia, chartering 17 vessels, and the heavy haulage from the port of Geelong to the project site located approximately 35 km west of Ballarat.

3,000 components, including blades as long as 69 m, will be managed by BWS’ team in China, Singapore and Australia over a period of 15 months.
