September 15 - C.H. Robinson has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire APC Logistics, a provider of freight forwarding and Customs brokerage services in Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement is subject to certain customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval.

Headquartered in Melbourne, APC Logistics has seven offices in Australia and two in New Zealand. The company provides ocean freight, airfreight, Customs brokerage and consultancy services, as well as offering project and oversized shipment solutions.

The two companies have had a long-standing exclusive agent relationship in the region for over 16 years. 

C.H. Robinson has said that it intends to purchase the company for approximately AUD300 million (USD224 million). On acquisition, APC Logistics will be integrated into the company's global forwarding division.

Meanwhile, C.H. Robinson Europe named Nikolay Pargov as operations director, Europe transportation. Based in Amsterdam, Pargov joins the company from DHL Global Forwarding and bring 13 years of industry experience to his new role.
