Crowley Maritime Corporation has realigned its shipping and solutions business units in a bid to enhance its focus on non-asset based customer solutions.

Shiju Zacharia will head up the Crowley Solutions business.

Under the new structure, commercial project management and engineering services will move to the Crowley Shipping business unit. This will enable Crowley Solutions to focus on its government services customers.

Within the Solutions group, Mike Golonka, vice president, will continue to lead the government ship management division. Rob Clapp will continue as vice president of planning and strategy.

Rob Grune, senior vice president and general manager, will oversee the transition of project management and engineering services into the Crowley Shipping business unit. This includes the company’s LNG-powered con-ro ships, along with its deepsea petroleum tankers, tugboats and barges.

Ray Martus, vice president, will continue to lead the project management group that includes vessel construction management, drydocking strategies and offshore marine projects. Jay Edgar, vice president, will oversee the engineering services team.

Furthermore, John Abisch and Bob Goldenberg joined Crowley Logistics – Abisch as vice president of global supply chain solutions, and Goldenberg as vice president, global business development. Both will be based in Miami, Florida.
