Forth Ports names Booth

November 28 - Forth Ports has appointed Gavin Booth as its new business development manager to focus on oil and gas support and decommissioning activity.

Forth Ports created this new position in light of a GBP10 million (USD12.4 million) quayside investment at the Port of Dundee and other initiatives at the ports of Rosyth and Leith designed to cater to the oil and gas and decommissioning industries.

The appointment of Booth underpins the group's objective of attracting work from the oil and gas sector to its ports in the Tay and Forth estuaries.

Booth joins Forth Ports with significant experience in sales, business development and operations within the oil and gas, subsea and decommissioning sectors. He has previously held positions at ATR Group, ACE Winches and JD Neuhaus.

In his new role he will be based in Aberdeen and will mainly look after the ports of Dundee, Rosyth and Leith.
