GAC adds Indian manager

November 16 - GAC Shipping (India) has appointed C Krishnakumar as general manager, logistics services for its Chennai office.

Mark Delaney, managing director of GAC Shipping (India), explained that the company is seeing a growing demand for logistics services in south India, including Chennai.

"Under the government's 'Make in India' initiative, the development of the overall logistics network is gradually taking shape and the port city of Chennai is emerging as one of the country's major logistics hubs."

GAC noted that the automotive, engineering and pharmaceutical sectors are among the key focus areas for the company in the southern Indian location.
