Goldhofer gains UK service partners

March 29 - Goldhofer has recruited two service partners in the UK, Truck Technics and Specialist Trailer Services UK, in response to its growing market shares in heavy haulage and oversized cargo transportation in the country.

According to Goldhofer, demand in the UK for its semitrailers and heavy-duty modular transporters has steadily increased, and its UK-based customers can now can now make use of a full servicing, maintenance and repair service at two locations in England.

Truck Technics, in Leyburn, north Yorkshire, has its own engineering facility and paint shop, and is in a position to handle all servicing and maintenance work for Goldhofer vehicles. In addition to its facility, Truck Technics has trained field service teams with the capability to handle repairs in the field anywhere in the UK, claims Goldhofer. All service personnel at Truck Technics will receive intensive training for their new duties from an experienced Goldhofer service engineer.

The same level of training and support will also be provided for the team at Specialist Trailer Services UK, the second addition to the Goldhofer service network in the UK. Located in Tuxford, Newark, its service engineers are capable of handling repair and maintenance work, as well as offer field service. According to Goldhofer, Specialist Trailer Services UK is currently working on plans for a paint shop in Tuxford, which will permit them to expand its service offering to cope with the growing numbers of Goldhofer customers in the region.

In addition to the repair and maintenance services, Goldhofer is in the process of upgrading its UK presence with a new Goldhofer semitrailer design as the optimum solution to the needs of the UK transport industry. The advantages of the vehicle include maximum payloads on the drop deck, high axle loads for heavy-duty applications and maximum fifth-wheel loads of up to 52 tonnes.
