Mårtensson appointed Stena Line CEO

September 28 - Effective September 28, 2016 Stena Line has promoted deputy ceo Niclas Mårtensson to the role of ceo.

Outgoing ceo, Carl-Johan Hagman, will resume his position as chairman of the Stena Line board and will retain his role as head of shipping at Stena AB.

Mårtensson has been with Stena Line for more than ten years, working in different senior positions including route manager for Germany and Poland, chief operating officer and, most recently, as deputy ceo.

"This appointment is a natural step in our development process. We are pleased that we have recruited a ceo internally who will be able to fully focus on realising the strategy," said Hagman.
