More Beluga Group companies file for insolvency

March 22 - Beluga Fleet Management Beteiligungs GmbH, Beluga Fleet Management GmbH & Co KG, Beluga Marine Service GmbH & Co KG, Beluga Offshore Crewing GmbH, Beluga Sea Academy GmbH file have all filed for insolvency today, according to a company statemen

The management boards of the respective companies announced that they were advised to petition for the opening of insolvency proceedings and have done so at the local court in Bremen today.

The insolvency filings of these companies follow the discovery of material irregularities relating to revenues and liquidity, details of which have been notified to the relevant authorities.

Edgar Grönda from Schultze & Braun has been appointed preliminary insolvency administrator for the five companies.

As we reported last week, Beluga Shipping GmbH and Beluga Chartering GmbH filed for insolvency.

The company says that "Beluga Group (Beluga) and other subsidiary companies continue to operate outside insolvency" and confirms that "its key stakeholders are involved in ongoing and constructive dialogue designed to achieve a common solution for Beluga."
