New logistics centres for Kingston Wharves

November 15 - Kingston Wharves Ltd (KWL) in Jamaica says it will open two new logistics centres by December this year.

The move is part of a multi-billion dollar expansion initiative, as the firm seeks to capitalise on shipping activity arising from the expansion of the Panama Canal.

KWL's chairman, Jeffrey Hall, said: "Our investment programme on the terminal, and within our specialised logistics centres, is designed to directly facilitate users and cuts across cargo types from containerised cargo, automotive cargo, industrial and project cargo, bulk and breakbulk cargo."
