Rickmers reports loss ahead of restructuring

May 4 - Rickmers Group reported a year-on-year revenue decrease of 17.7 percent for 2016, falling to EUR483.3 million (USD527.6 million) from EUR587 million (USD640.8 million) in 2015.

The group reported a net loss of EUR341 million (USD372.76 million) in 2016, compared to a   EUR135.5 million (USD148.12 million) loss in 2015. 

Rickmers-Linie experienced a decrease in revenue of 21 percent, falling to EUR135.9 million (USD148.3 million) in 2016, from EUR172.1 million (USD187.9 million) in 2015.

The line reported a net loss of EUR11.6 million (USD12.68 million) in 2016 - compared to a EUR700,000 profit (USD764,995 ) achieved in 2015.

As HLPFI reported last month, with effect from April 1, 2017 the business operations of Rickmers-Linie was sold to the Zeaborn Group and renamed Rickmers-Line.
