May 23 - Cargolux Airlines International and Robert Song have mutually agreed to terminate his role as senior vice president, head of Asia & Pacific with immediate effect.

Both parties are currently in discussions about a mutually satisfactory consultancy agreement to support the implementation of the dual hub strategy between Cargolux and its shareholder HNCA.

Dirk Reich, president and ceo of Cargolux, explained that Song has played a central role in the setting up of the alliance between the airline and HNCA, and thanked him for his hard work.

Kevin Shek, who is currently heading up Cargolux's sales activities in the Asia & Pacific region, has been promoted to take over the position of vice president of Asia & Pacific immediately.

This news comes after Cargolux delayed the start of its scheduled services to Zhengzhou, China, from April 24 to May 29, and then to June 14, 2014, which was reported by HLPFI on May 16.
