December 13 - The Port of Vancouver USA has appointed Alex Strogen as chief commercial officer.
Strogen will join the port in January 2018 and will be responsible for the planning and implementation of maritime marketing strategies, objectives and programmes to promote domestic and international trade; planning and directing the marine cargo development programme; and developing and maintaining relationships to promote utilisation of the port.
Strogen will be replacing Alastair Smith, who has led teams in sales, marketing and operations at the port since 2003 and will retire in March 2018.
