Trojan extends at Aberdeen

Trojan Crates has invested GBP1 million (USD1.55 million) in new premises close to Aberdeen airport, Scotland, which feature state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.

The Aberdeen headquartered crating and packing manufacturer has added 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) of manufacturing space to its Howe Moss Terrace, Dyce facility, creating 20 new jobs in the process.

"Purchasing our new building in Dyce means we can increase our manufacturing, giving clients in the oil and gas, subsea and freight forwarding industries an even more demand-driven response," said Trojan Crates' sales director, Craig Sim.

Trojan Crates has also invested in four new CNC machines; the company claims it is the only one in the region with routing tables capable of creating CAD 2D and 3D foam inserts used in protective cases.

Trojan Crates chairman, Alistair Paterson, added: "Our new capacity at Dyce and our investment in further new technology is part of our strategic growth plan for Trojan Crates. We aim to increase our turnover to GBP7 million (USD10.87 million) by 2017."
