UTi and DSV respond to acquisition rumours

December 4 - DSV and UTi Worldwide have responded to a Bloomberg article published yesterday, which reported that the two companies have been evaluating the possibility of entering into an agreement concerning DSV's acquisition of UTi.

Both companies confirmed that, although exploratory conversations regarding this matter had taken place, the talks never "progressed beyond a preliminary stage" and there are currently no discussions between UTi and DSV.

Bloomberg reports, however, maintain that the negotiations were called to a halt only after news broke of DSV's potential acquisition, which sent UTi's shares surging.
