YCF Group makes senior changes

August 21 - The YCF Group has named Carsten Gierga its managing director responsible for the company's activities in Germany.

Current general manager, Suwrie Topaz, has been promoted to vice-president, global marketing and business development.
 
Carsten Gierga was previously managing director of Hamburg-based ship management specialist Interorient Marine Services (Germany). In the newly created position he will be responsible for overseeing YCF Group's operations in the German market.
 
Suwarie Topaz has been leading the YCF Group's ship registry operations in Germany for the past year but will now focus her attention on overseeing the company's global marketing and business.
 
Scott Bergeron, ceo, YCF Group, said: "We are delighted to welcome Carsten into the YCF Group. His specific knowledge of the German maritime sector, and indeed of the international shipping industry, will strengthen still further YCF's leading role as a provider of high-quality maritime services."
