Ambitious project for SDV's aerospace team
October 29 - The aerospace teams of SDV, a brand of the French service provider Bolloré Logistics, handled the transportation of an autoclave that will be used for the production of the future Airbus A350 XWB.
The equipment was 27 m long, 8 m in diameter, and had an indivisible weight of 330 tonnes.
As part of this large-scale operation, SDV chartered a vessel to transport the cargo from South Korea to Germany.
On arrival at a German port, the shipment was offloaded and transferred onto a special low bed trailer.
SDV teams then delivered the load to Premium Aerotec, one of the leading suppliers for structures and manufacturing systems for aircraft construction, based in Nordenham (Germany).
