These air, sea, rail and road transportation, warehousing and logistics services are purchased from more than 700 suppliers.
We are looking for an experienced Manager for heavy lift cargo to strengthen the team at our headquarters in Zürich or another suitable location.
Extensive experience with heavy lift cargo handling is a pre-requisite for this position.
Your tasks: Coach & support logistics managers in local LBU • management reporting related to cost of poor quality, savings, spend, volumes • develop and maintain global logistics strategy heavy lift cargo • develop and maintain global logistics policy and procedures heavy lift cargo • perform forwarder & factory transportation quality audits • develop and maintain global heavy lift pricing guidelines • develop and maintain global heavy lift operator instruction manual • develop and maintain global transportation training • project managing & assistance in complex opportunities • interaction with sales, marketing, Legal, F&A, Country BU • perform pricing agreement renewal and exception pricing • save cost via process standardization, rate negotiations with selected suppliers and pro-active communication with the customer • develop commercial pricing hubs for heavy lift cargo globally • reduce cost of poor quality
The requirements: Degree in transportation/logistics • at least 6 years experience in heavy lift transportation in all transport modes preferably at freight forwarders side • international background and experience • strong communication skills • fluent in English • experience with ABB heavy lift cargo handling is a plus
