July 4 - Alistair Group has successfully transported two mining screens from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Tanzania.

The screens, which measured 3.8 m high and 4.9 m high, were hauled by road via Botswana and Zambia. The loads were accompanied by escorts and thanks to careful planning, the move was executed safely.

The two screens will be used at a diamond mine in Shinyanga.

In other developments at Alistair Group, due to increasing demand at its Temane, Mozambique yard it has repositioned one of its 80-tonne lift capacity cranes on site.

The crane was delivered from Pemba; since its arrival on site it has been busy working on transformer installation projects, while assisting with the completion of Alistair's new warehouse.
