March 10 - Ceva Logistics has launched its second City of Energy hub in Singapore.

The energy hub, which features 26,000 sq m of warehouse space and over 5,000 sq m of open yard space for customers, is dedicated to the warehousing, cross docking, flow management and handling of oil and gas products as well as services for the energy industry.

Located within easy access of Jurong port and Singapore's major highways, the City of Energy hub will serve Ceva's customers in the energy industry, many of whom use Singapore as a regional base for their oil and gas operations in Asia.

"Singapore is a key transhipment hub for many Energy players in the industry, given its strategic location in Asia and its excellent network, domestically and internationally," said Ceva executive vice president for Southeast Asia, Elaine Low, adding that the opening of the hub was a natural move for the company.

Low explained that Ceva has dedicated energy specialists to serve the needs of its customers at the Singapore hub, from supply chain management queries to project cargo and compliance services.

The energy hub features high floor loading capacity, VNA space, a special cargo containment area, RF material handling and processing, heavy lift services, and warehouse management systems, as well as modern offices.

Ceva opened its first City of Energy concept in Jebel Ali, which HLPFI reported in July 2014.
