Al Faris orders big with Liebherr

Al Faris Equipment Rentals has placed an order for 25 Liebherr mobile cranes.

This order includes five LTM 1070-4.2 models, two LTM 1130-5.1s, and six LTM 1160-5.2s, as well as four LRT 1090-2.1 and eight LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain cranes.

According to Liebherr, the order equates to a total value of approximately EUR18 million (USD22 million).

Liebherr added the rough-terrain cranes as a new series to its product portfolio last year, with the 90-tonne capacity LRT 1090-2.1 and 100-tonne capacity LRT 1100-2.1 being unveiled for the first time in March 2017 at Conexpo in Las Vegas.

The LRT cranes feature the VarioBase variable support base and have been designed to ensure low-cost transport, suitable for off-road use.

Founded in 1992 and based in Dubai, the Al Faris Group has approximately 400 Liebherr cranes in its fleet and provides heavy lift equipment, heavy haulage services and temporary power generation services.
