TWC crawler cranes get a boost

Global lifting equipment manufacturer Terex will supply Singapore-based Tiong Woon Corporation (TWC) with a boom booster kit for the heavy lift and haulage service provider’s three Demag CC 8800-1 crawler cranes.

TWC chairman and ceo Ang Kah Hong said that while the 1,600-tonne lifting capacity of the Demag CC 8800-1 is “impressive”, the boom booster takes it further, “making the CC 8800-1 superior to any other crane in the class of up to 2,000 tonnes”. 

Terex said the boom booster kit can either be purchased with a new crane or retrofitted to cranes that have already been delivered, as is the case for this TWC order.
