November 8 - Delta Maritime has handled the transport and installation of Siemens turbo compressors and gas turbines in northern Greece at the Evros Kipoi Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) compressing station.

The consignment consisted of three gas turbines, each weighing 36 tonnes and measuring 7.8 m x 3.1 m x 4.2 m, and three 26.7-tonne compressors measuring 6.2 m x 3.7 m x 3.9 m.

Upon arrival at the Port of Piraeus, Delta Maritime handled the reloading from Mafis onto trucks, utilising a 160-tonne capacity ship-to-shore crane.

The cargoes were transported to the project site using special lowbed trailers and accompanied by escort cars.

At the Evros Kipoi TAP compressing station a 500-tonne capacity crane, 5-tonne capacity forklift and a support crane unloaded the cargo from the trucks.

Delta Maritime is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in Greece.
