September 8 - Halifax, UK based Collett Transport has taken delivery of an 8x4 Mercedes 4155 tractor unit, complete with a 205 tonne/m capacity Effer 2055 crane.
Collett says that its new acquisition offers a powerful weight to performance ratio and utilises six boom extensions to provide a maximum reach and lift capacity of 30 tonnes at 4.51 m and 8.5 tonnes at 15.25 m.
Working closely with local supplier Atlas Cranes UK, Collett commissioned the new Effer due to its technical prowess, strength and performance, said the company.
"The welcome addition of the new Effer 2055 into our fleet allows Collett Transport to take a huge leap forward within the industry, offering unique lifting capabilities and providing customers with a cost effective solution for their heavy lift requirements," said managing director of the company, David Collett.
"The Effer 2055 crane is the very first crane of this capacity off the production line in Italy," added Collett, and the company claims that it is the largest of its kind in Europe.
