Fagioli has moved two hydrocracking reactors, with a combined total weight of more than 3,000 tonnes, at the port of Marghera, Italy.

The reactors were manufactured by Italy’s ATB Riva Calzoni in Roncadelle and Venice. From there, Fagioli transported the components, measuring 60 m in length, to the port.

In accordance with ground pressure restrictions at the port, Fagioli deployed 72 axle lines of Cometto MSPE modules, featuring a capacity of 40 tonnes per axle line.

The self-propelled transporters with electronic steering formed two convoys measuring more than 60 m in length and 8.5 wide.

Upon arrival at the port of Marghera, the cargoes were loaded on board a heavy lift vessel for onward transportation to Dangote Refining’s refinery in Nigeria.
