July 26 - UK-based Project Cargo Network (PCN) has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems certification, one of the first project cargo networks to be granted this accreditation.

The certification was awarded after an inspection of the PCN head office in Liss, Hampshire by official ISO auditors,Gerhard and Christian Dischke from ISO-ZERT in Stuttgart, which followed an extensive six-month review of all of the network's administrative processes.

"I feel very honoured to be one of the world's first heavy lift networks to receive ISO accreditation," says Rachel Humphrey, PCN chairwoman.

"Receiving the ISO for our quality management system assures us that we are not only doing a good job but creating a standard that will be recognised by our member companies, airlines, shipping lines, freight forwarders, manufacturers, importers and exporters around the world."
