October 21 - The Project Cargo Network (PCN) has appointed its second representative in Canada, Icecorp Projects, a division of Icecorp Logistics Inc.

Established in 1989, Icecorp Projects says it is highly skilled in the coordination of logistics activities necessary to effectively deliver overseas turnkey projects, factory relocations, remote site deliveries and heavy lift shipments, on budget and on schedule.

The division specialises in the construction, mining, oil and gas, and wind energy industries and operates from its parent company's head office in Toronto, and has branch offices in Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.

A recent project that the company managed saw it coordinate and transport mining equipment from Europe to a warehouse in Baltimore, where it was stored for several months whilst import permits were secured to ship the cargoes to Brazil.

The company coordinated similar deliveries from other warehouses and vendors within the USA and Canada to Baltimore by road transport and says the total shipment involved around 3,000 cu m of cargo in total.
