September 29 - RollDock's heavy lift vessel RollDock Sea has performed the first of four voyages from Monfalcone, Italy to the Port of Rotterdam, carrying two topside lifting system beams.

The beams, each of which weigh approximately 1,300 tonnes and have the dimensions 65 m x 6 m x 7 m, are to be installed onboard Allseas' platform installation/decommissioning and pipelay vessel Pieter Schelte.

The beams were loaded and discharged by means of the ro-ro method
and RollDock explained that the multi-position decks and adjustable ramp heights allowed RollDock Sea to easily handle different quay heights in the loading and unloading ports.

HLPFI reported on July 11 that Allseas and the Port of Rotterdam Authority had signed an agreement stating that Pieter Schelte would be completed at the Dutch gateway.
