December 30 - Mumbai-based OOG and heavy lift project forwarder Express Transport (ETPL), a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), has added 10 additional equipment items, including two 250-tonne Kobelco crawler cranes.

These additions bring the company's fleet of cranes to 60, with a total lifting capacity of 5000-plus tonnes.

The company has cranes up to 450 tonnes in capacity.

At the same time, the 65-year old company is celebrating success at the Indian EPC World Awards 2011 in the 'Outstanding contribution in SME Logistics Sector' category.

This award is given by a jury consisting of experts and professionals in the Indian infrastructure and construction industry. These awards are recognised by the Indian government and its institutions as well as the shipping ministry. It is the second time that the company has won an award.

As well as project handling, ETPL has 23 offices from which freight forwarding, shipping, air freight and contract logistics solutions are offered.
