Sennebogen expands Straubing hub

September 23 - Sennebogen is extending its production and warehouse area at its site in the German port of Straubing by around 35,000 sq m.

A 6,700 sq m production facility is also being built for the assembly and painting of large components, as well as finishing work and quality control; while a new shipping area for machines and components will also be constructed as part of the project.

The site will house a 180-tonne capacity Sennebogen 5500 crawler gantry crane, which features a working radius of over 30 m and a travel range of approximately 170 m. It will be used to lift and handle heavy components, said the manufacturer.

With this investment into its Straubing site, Sennebogen says it is expanding its capacity for the production of large machines.
