June 21 - Russia's JSC Sea Ports of Saint Petersburg (SP SPb), together with Universal Forwarder, has handled heavy components destined for the Siemens power station "Juzhnouralsk GRES power plant-2" in the Chelyabinsk region.
The total consignment was approximately 1,500 tonnes. The 350-tonne floating crane Demag handled the heaviest units weighing between 308 and 341 tonnes.
The heavy lift equipment used to handle the shipment was delivered at the end of May 2013 onboard a BBC Chartering vessel. To store the equipment Universal Forwarder installed special metal structures allowing the load to be distributed along the port berth.
