May 31 - Australia's Bothar Boring & Tunneling is expanding its operations in the Middle East with the addition of three all terrain cranes: a Demag AC 500-8, a Demag AC 100-4L and a Terex Explorer 5600.

Bothar Boring & Tunneling has been operating in the Middle East since 2010, and after being awarded microtunneling contracts in Qatar decided to add additional units to its current fleet of 15 cranes.

In the company's line of work, the compact size and asymmetric outrigger positioning is vital for working in tight areas, says Terex.

Meanwhile, Bahrain-based Modern Mechanical, Electrical and Transporting (MMET) has added to its existing fleet of 15 Terex and Demag cranes with the order of one Demag AC 60-3, two Demag AC 100-4Ls, one Demag AC 160-5, one Demag AC 220-5 and one Terex AC 40/2L.

Terex plans to deliver the six cranes in the coming months.
