August 2 - Osprey Heavy Lift has handled a 138-tonne transformer at the Avonmouth Docks, a part of the Port of Bristol, UK.

The transformer, which will replace old equipment at a National Grid substation in Gloucestershire, arrived onboard Wijnne Barends' Lady Mathilde and was transferred to a special haulage lorry, owned and operated by Osprey Heavy Lift's road haulage partner Allelys Heavy Haulage.

With the transformer loaded, the lorry and trailer combination had a total length of 56 m and a width of 5 m, and weighed 235 tonnes.

According to National Grid, the lorry travelled with a police escort to the substation in Iron Acton, taking an indirect route to avoid weak bridges and narrow turning points.
