September 29 - Tuscor Lloyds has transported 11 heavy machine pump components from the UK Port of Tyne to Sohar Port in Oman.

The cargo, which included three units weighing from 18 to 29 tonnes, was loaded onto three low loaders and one flatbed trailer using a heavy-duty crane.

The heavy units were then transported to the Port of Tyne and transhipped onto Mafi trailers, before being driven onto a ro-ro vessel for shipment to Sohar Port.

Tuscor Lloyds suggested that UK exports are currently contributing positively to Oman's energy sector, with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) stating that the UK is Oman's biggest foreign investor, after exports totalled around GBP551 million (USD834 million) in 2014.
