The Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga in Russia has taken delivery of a rail-mounted gantry (RMG) container re-loader, with a lifting capacity of 50 tons (45.4 tonnes).

The equipment, which represents a EUR4 million (USD4.6 million) investment, is based at the port’s South-2 terminal.

The RMG crane was manufactured at the Baltic Cranes Industry plant in Lithuania and is scheduled to enter service in September 2018.

The new equipment is designed for handling general cargo and containers.
