November 11 - Wagenborg has transported four train wagons from Grossauheim Hanau, Germany to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen, the Netherlands.

Wagenborg first used its 200-tonne capacity mobile crane to load the wagons onto the chassis, before the protruding parts were removed from the bottom of the wagons, and the units loaded directly onto trailers. A fifth truck was used to transport the wheelsets.

The transport combinations, which measured up to 29 m long by 3.3 m wide and 4.3 m high, were then moved to Wagenborg's site in Schoonebeek, the Netherlands by road.

From Schoonebeek, the wagons were transported one-by-one to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo, where two 80-tonne capacity cranes were used to discharge the trains carriages and wheelsets at the final destination.

The company then used a 700-tonne capacity mobile crane, equipped with a luffing jib, to lift the carriages over a 6 m high wall of sand and install the wagons at the zoo. The units will form part of a special visitors' route through the Dutch zoo.
