Thomas Miller acquires Brookes Bell

UK-based insurance provider Thomas Miller has acquired marine consultancy Brookes Bell for an undisclosed amount.

Brookes Bell has served the marine and energy industry since 1903, providing specialist services in emergency response, casualty investigation, salvage and wreck removal operations, scientific cargo expertise, forensic engineering and expert witness services.

With offices in Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, Brookes Bell employs a group of marine and civil engineers, master mariners, naval architects, cargo and fuel scientists, fire investigators and metallurgists.

According to Colin Kershaw, managing partner at Brookes Bell, the company will continue to operate independently with no changes to its brand or operational structure.
