Blades travel through Emden

January 3 - EPAS Ems Ports Agency & Stevedoring has handled the offloading of 24 wind turbine blades at the Seaports of Niedersachsen's north quay in Emden, on behalf of turbine manufacturer Enercon. -  News Desk - News Desk

 The cargo arrived at the port from Brazil onboard the multipurpose vessel Orange River. According to the Seaports of Niedersachsen, with a draft of 10.9 m and a length of 189.9 m, it is one of the largest vessels allowed to sail into the inland port of Emden.

Each blade measured 44 m in length and is destined for the onshore wind farm at Nordkai.
