DB Schenker named Roland logistics partner

June 13 - DB Schenker has been appointed the sole logistics service provider in the EMEA region for Roland DG - a Japan headquartered manufacturer of printers, 3D engraving and milling equipment.

Roland DG previously had five business units across EMEA responsible for supplying the region. In 2012, Roland DG EMEA was founded to streamline the logistics effort between the region and Roland DG Japan. DB Schenker has been selected as the company's logistics partner to coincide with the new EMEA distribution strategy.

DB Schenker will be responsible for the supply chain of Roland DG EMEA, including warehousing, transportation and supply chain management activities. As a part of this, DB Schenker will be required to handle special over-dimensional machinery, such as 3D printers.
