EFG Scandinavia, part of the EMS-Fehn-Group, has started the second phase of a major construction project in Sweden.

The Bergen, Norway-based crane specialist, together with its partners, will erect 119 wind turbines at a wind farm in the north of the country.

EFG Scandinavia has been involved in the project since 2018. As HLPFI reported here, the company assisted with the construction of 60 turbines in October.

According to EFG, once complete, it will be one of the largest wind farms in the world featuring 179 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW.

EFG managing director Tom-Roar Solhaug explained that the project’s success so far has been a result of the close cooperation within the EMS-Fehn-Group, including Europatrans, which provides heavy haulage services.
