The port of Indiana-Burns Harbor, located in the USA, has extended its partnership with stevedore and marine terminal operating company, Federal Marine Terminals (FMT), until at least 2023.

The commodities FMT handles at the port of Indiana-Burns Harbor include steel, breakbulk cargoes, forest products, plus heavy lift and project cargoes.

Matthew McPhail, FMT's vice president of sales and marketing, said that the company will invest in its fleet of equipment at the port. "FMT has recently ordered a new crane and we are bringing in a second crane to accompany it,” he stated.

FMT has 12 facilities across the Great Lakes, the US East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico.
