GEFCO Group appoints five 

GEFCO Group has made five senior appointments as it continues to expand its global freight forwarding business division. 

Valentin Elistratov has been named global commercial director. According to GEFCO, he has 25 years of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry and has worked as a senior business developer for various brands including DHL and APL Logistics

GEFCO has also appointed Peter West as country director for Australia and New Zealand, bringing approximately 20 years of experience to the role.

Meanwhile, Katherine Shek has been named regional director for Asia. Shek, who was previously in charge of the North Asia region for the freight forwarding business at GEFCO, will now be responsible for the entire Asian zone including Singapore and Thailand. 

Alicja Szewczyk has been appointed global human resources people and culture manager and Karin Van Den Brekel as life science and health care global manager.
