The Journal of Commerce (JOC) has established a new breakbulk and project cargo conference, which will be held for the first time in New Orleans, USA next year from April 29 - May 2.

According to the JOC, the event will provide information and insights that cargo owners can use to plan and execute shipments of breakbulk and project cargo through US and international ports.

With the conference theme - "can this rising tide be trusted?" - the event will focus on various topics, including the energy outlook, transport contracts, tariffs, compliance, upcoming sulphur regulations, the state of the heavy lift shipping fleet, consolidation and overland transport in North America.

The conference will be hosted by the port of New Orleans.
