New head at Terex

October 16 - Effective November 2, 2015, Terex Corporation has appointed John L. Garrison, Jr. to replace Ronald M. DeFeo as the company's new president and chief executive officer (ceo).

Garrison, who will also become a member of the Terex board of directors, joins from Textron, where he served as president and ceo of its bell helicopter segment.

Based in Westport, Connecticut, Garrison will take on leadership of both Terex and Konecranes Terex.

DeFeo will continue to serve as executive chairman of the company until December 31, 2015, before taking on a consultant role for an additional year.
