The C-201 vacuum column, manufactured by Atommash in Volgodonsk, was delivered using a Volgo-Baltic Logistic ro-ro barge in late 2017. The column measured 52.3 m in length, 11 m in diameter, and weighed 518 tonnes.

Ro-ro barge 2034, towed by two tugboats, travelled 13,300 km from Volgodonsk via the Northern Sea Route, the Ob and Irtysh rivers, before making for Omsk.

In a second project, Volgo-Baltic Logistic was responsible for the delivery of various oversize components for Sibur's ZapSibNeftekhim petrochemical facility in Tobolsk, also in Russia.

Between July and September 2017, the company carried four 360-tonne boilers, 66 m-long washing and rectification columns weighing approximately 150 tonnes each, an 87 m butene column and an extruder for a polyethylene plant.

17,500 tonnes of equipment was transhipped at the port of Sabetta from seven oceangoing ships to 25 articulated tug barge (ATB) units, operated by Volgo-Baltic Logistic.

The Gulf of Ob only opened for navigation in July 2017 and both projects were executed in the shortest possible timeframe, said the company.

Volgo-Baltic Logistic is a subsidiary of North-Western Shipping Company (NWSC).
