Cosmatos handles wind shipment in Chios

Cosmatos Shipping Services has handled wind turbine components at Mesta port on the Greek island of Chios.

Cosmatos was responsible for the offloading and transportation of the components, which made up 12 wind turbines.

The company also arranged health and safety training for the stevedoring teams prior to the project; the team was responsible for marking the area with safety signals and preventing unauthorised personnel from entering the area.

Cosmatos, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in Greece, utilised its own equipment for the discharging operations.
