Kübler Spedition has transported a 272-ton (246.8-tonne) transformer from Nijmegen in the Netherlands to a project site in Kupferzell, Germany.

The cargo was loaded onto a river vessel in Nijmegen for onward transportation along the Rhine River to Heilbronn in Germany.

Upon arrival in Heilbronn, the transformer was loaded onto a hydraulic heavy-duty trailer from Kübler’s fleet. The trailer features a payload of 350 tons (317.5 tonnes) and can lift the cargo to a height of 1.5 m to clear obstacles on the road.

From Heilbronn, Kübler transported the cargo to its heavy cargo storage facility in Michelfeld – which is situated directly on the region’s official heavy cargo transport road – before delivering the unit to Kupferzell, passing through several small villages en route.

According to the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network, of which Kübler is a member in Germany, this was the heaviest transport operation completed through the Schwaebisch Hall county in southern Germany.
