Landmark Goldhofer order for Silamas

Thailand-based Silamas Group has placed an order for 150 axle lines of Goldhofer THP/SL-L heavy-duty modules.

Upon delivery, Silamas will have approximately 550 Goldhofer axle lines in its fleet.

Silamas ceo, Chompoo Glinpu, cites the improving market conditions and changes to Thailand's road traffic regulations as the reasons behind the order, which is the largest single order in Goldhofer's history.

According to Glinpu, a reduction in the maximum number of axle lines per vehicle configuration in Thailand will mean Silamas has to use more vehicles for the same total load. Subsequently, the group has expanded its fleet with more vehicles to meet customers' future logistics requirements.

Glinpu said: "The THP/SL-L modules in particular offer an ideal combination of the characteristics needed for heavy haulage today. Thanks to their optimum payload-axle load ratio they will be the perfect solution for our response to the new regulations."
